The loudest room in the house, in the best way: a coral wave painted along one wall, a red bed, a yellow sofa bed and a bath by the balcony doors.

4A is where the folk-art palette is turned all the way up. A wave in coral and rose runs the length of one wall, the bed is red with a rounded headboard, and the sofa facing it is yellow with red cushions. Everything else — floor, ceiling, track lights — stays out of the way.

The freestanding bath sits near the French doors at the far end, so you can run it and still see the trees outside. The dining corner has a round table for three under a painting of a woman holding a black cat, next to a window that is more or less filled with leaves.

It shares the third floor with 3A, which makes the two of them a good pair for friends travelling together. The sofa converts, so 4A sleeps two comfortably.
